A B O U T   M E

The following ten years were spent working as an Art Department Co-ordinator (and, briefly, a Visual Effects Co-ordinator) on films such as Robin Hood, Gravity, Beauty and the Beast, Fast & Furious 6 and Cinderella, producing the occasional detail drawing whenever there was time alongside my day-job. I fully committed to draughting at the tail-end of 2016, though, and have been lucky enough to draw for sci-fi, period, fantasy and contemporary projects since then. My Supervising Art Directors have assigned me action vehicles and location sets as well as studio builds, and while my highlight was donning steel toe-caps to work alongside other departments on location, I’ve been equally happy when puzzling out period details on a drawing board or complex structural builds on a screen.

I was promoted to Assistant Art Director in January 2018 which immediately ramped up my learning and happily allowed me to get more involved with the "making it happen" side of the department. My long-term aim is to balance the creative skills I’m developing now with my technical background and organisational experience so that I can successfully move up into a career as an Art Director and Supervising Art Director.
